The Potential Ruination of WWE Creative if Vince McMahon takes over

Vince McMahon, the chairman and CEO of WWE, is a legend in the world of professional wrestling. He has been the driving force behind some of the most iconic moments in the history of the industry. McMahon's vision and creativity have helped shape the landscape of professional wrestling for decades. However, his involvement in creative control has been somewhat limited in recent years. If McMahon were to take over creative control once again, it could have a significant impact on the current storylines of WWE.

One of the most immediate effects of McMahon taking over creative control would be a shift in tone. McMahon is known for favoring a more edgy and controversial style of storytelling. During the Attitude Era, he pushed the envelope with storylines that were often deemed too explicit or risqué. And while this is a thing of the past, ever since the company went public and entered into what is now known as the "PG-era", storylines were on a constant, stagnant loop for years. How many times did we need to see Reigns vs Lesnar for a title while also trying to make Reigns the babyface to replace John Cena. The fans, including myself, hated this but McMahon wouldn't hear of it. Not to mention the season of firings that took place in 2021 and 2022 before his forced retirement. Most of whom have come back to fill out the roster and thrive under Triple H's leadership. If McMahon were to take over creative control, fans could expect to see a return to form that led to low ratings on both Raw and Smackdown.

In addition to a shift in tone, McMahon's involvement would likely result in a focus on established stars. McMahon has always had a preference for established names over up-and-coming talent. This could mean those wrestlers who have been with WWE for years, such as Roman Reigns (whose Tribal Chief gimmick and Bloodline faction is super over right now,) or Seth Rollins, could receive more prominent storylines while younger talent like the up-and-coming Montez Ford could be pushed to the back burner. Another potential effect of McMahon taking over creative control would be an increase in backstage politics. McMahon is notorious for his love of power and control. If he were to take creative control, there could be an increase in backstage politics and a potential clash between McMahon and the Superstars within WWE's creative team. Most superstars have no say on how to make their gimmick work without the big man's say-so. The more notable problem is the restrictive way he demanded the commentators do their jobs over the years, screaming in their ears what to say and how to say it as they say it. Poor Michael Cole.

Vince McMahon's involvement in creative control would have a significant impact on the current storylines of WWE. Fans could expect to see a shift in tone, a focus on established stars, an increase in backstage politics, and a renewed focus on long-term storytelling. However, the extent of McMahon's involvement remains to be seen, and it's possible that his influence on creative control could be minimal.
